The tower diffuser has been the technology selected for all new sugar plants built in the last decade and has been popular since the 50sā when Buckau Wolf brought the technology to the market.
The Maguin ā Buckau-Wolf design practically eliminates the risk of diffuser screens clogging and stagnation points occurring, thus eliminating infection risk and enhancing sugar extraction at lower energy cost.
Individual units are available in standard sizes from 3,000 to 12,000 t/d nominal capacity which corresponds to the world biggest tower system so far built. Maguin can, on request, supply higher capacity units.
Cossette mixers can be added to existing diffusion installations to improve the energy balance or increase the diffusion station capacity.
