Since Maguin invented the drum slicer technology in 1913, they have initiated all new developments in this field. The drum slicer technology is now universally selected for all slicing projects or replacement of existing machines.

Maguin drum slicers feature high capacity, low power consumption, superior cossettes geometry, power assisted and PLC controlled knife block extraction and insertion, low maintenance and powerful knife air cleaning. The result is a higher sugar extraction at lower cost. Various sizes are offered for average production capacities ranging from 2,500 to 7,000 T/D per machine (maximum instantaneous capacity up to 10,000 T/D)

As well as slicers, an efficient slicing station must be equipped with good knife maintenance machines and high quality knives with the appropriate hardness and geometry. The Maguin slicing line includes:

• drum beet slicers,
• manual or automatic Knife Straightening and grinding machines,
• semi automatic or fully automatic rough and fine sharpening machines,
• ancillary equipment for knife block washing, dismantling, adjusting and mounting,
• slicing knives (all standards available),
• fraisers (milling tools for rough or fine sharpening).
