Maguin has been involved in diffusion technologies for decades : from the period of batch diffusions then in partnership successively with De Smet (belt diffusion) and BMA for vertical continuous diffusion. Nowadays, Maguin has its own diffusion tower technology due to the purchase of Buckau Wolf diffusion know-how.
On the basis of this know-how, to which Maguin contributes, Maguin offers complete diffusion installations or diffusion towers alone of a standard nominal unit capacity of 3,000 to 12,000 t/d (capacity of the biggest tower sold in the world so far : Lillers sugar factory in France). Higher capacities are possible according to the market demand.
The technology of Maguin diffuser with the Buckau Wolf principle is distinguished by its extreme working reliability and its easy operation which are recognized by all users : this is particularly due to the system of juice/cossettes mixture distribution and the filtration system of this mixture at the diffusion end. The clogging and infection risks are almost eliminated (absence of dead zones).
The diffusion system with Tower / Cossettes mixer technology is characterized mainly by:
The tower is driven by a gear wheel and multiple pinions driven separately by motors with speed variation. The body is generally manufactured in carbon steel plated with stainless steel liner. The manufacture in solid stainless steel is also possible
In case of installations sold abroad, a part of the manufacture is made locally under the control of Maguin specialists who also assist during the erection. Due to its own experience and input and that received from Buckau Wolf (more than 170 installations carried out), Maguin thus puts on the market a solution which is both technically and financially competitive.
