The finishing washer is located at the end of the MAGUIN washing line or can be added to any existing washing line in order to improve the cleanliness of the beets.

It comprises a rotary drum in which are located many spraying nozzles. A layer of beets is created at the drum bottom and is exposed to high pressure water jets. The water jets are applied on a large area and beets are sprayed many times as they pass through the drum.

Weed catching fingers are installed on the internal surface enabling additional weed removal.

The finishing washing drum can be supplied with a transport water separating compartment at the inlet when the beet feed is directly from a flume. The rotary principle results in a simplification of the supporting structures compared to that for vibrating equipment and in minimal maintenance (friction drive, no complicated mechanics).

It is a recently developed product which has met with great success performing far better than spray screens or roller tables.
