Maguin has designed and manufactured hammermills together with the consumable parts for more than 50 years, both for the fragmentation of wet products (cereals - wheat, rye and wood particles) and for dry particle production (alfalfa, sawdust, bagasse, seaweeds ...) .

Advantages of the design are:

• large rotor diameter of up to 1400 mm grate; motor power up to 2 x 450 kW
• tramp metal and stone separator integral with the hammermill to protect the internals
• always sufficient residence time to ensure product achieves its correct granulometry. This being especially important for cereals in the fermentation process and for alfalfa and wood dust before pelleting
• very low maintenance cost for rotor, hammers and grates
