1907 – The factory is destroyed by a fire. It is rebuilt and expanded to cover 15 hectares, connected to the railway, and employs 500 workers.
Alongside the specialties that have earned it worldwide recognition — diffusion knives, beet washers, hydro-stoners-spreaders, beet elevators, and rotary drum root cutters — whose performance it continually improves, the Société Nouvelle des Établissements Maguin regularly manufactures all the equipment needed for sugar factories, refineries, distilleries, and processing plants.
Maguin’s activity experiences several developments. It is during this period that Maguin’s sugar industry operations expand further, and the company also begins to specialize in equipment for the chemical industry — including all types of rotary drums (dryers, granulators, etc.) and a range of three-cylinder fertilizer crushers.
Maguin is acquired by Moret Industries, allowing the group to diversify its activities, which had until then focused on the design and manufacture of industrial pumps and sugar factory handling systems.
Maguin expands its range of processes by integrating FDI technology, focused on lime preparation for sugar purification.
Maguin expands its commercial presence in Eastern Europe. Chełmża is a production site specialized in the manufacturing of boiler-fabricated equipment such as sugar dryers, bag filters, frames, and various other welded mechanical components.
Maguin diversifies its activities with Intéris, founded in 1989 and specialized in the design of bioethanol and rectified alcohol units, using raw materials such as sugar beet, sugar cane, cereals, as well as sorghum and cassava.
Maguin integrates Remex technology, a specialist in vibrating filters, to complete its sugar beet washing line.
Birth of Maguin diffusion technologies. Maguin continues to expand its expertise upstream in the sugar process by integrating the sweet juice extraction method.
Maguin enhances its customer service offering with JPi Maintenance, founded in 2002 and specialized in industrial maintenance for the sugar industry.
